About Us

Dr. Michael T. Ginnetti is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Prairie Dermatology. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He obtained his medical doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, and  subsequently went on to complete a residency in dermatology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. After beginning his career in group practice, Dr. Ginnetti decided to return to his home town of Bloomington-Normal and start his own practice with the goal of serving the community he was raised in. 

Dr. Ginnetti makes patient education a priority in his practice with the goal to empower his patients to take an active role in their care. He provides medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
